Bali Luxury Experience

PlacesUbudNusa PenidaUluwatu & JimbaranSeminyak

Ten days of Bali done privately: pool villas above the Ayung river, a speedboat to Nusa Penida's cliffs, a candlelit dinner on Jimbaran sand and the island's great temples with a guide who explains each ritual.

Best time to go
April to October for dry, sunny days and calm crossings to Nusa Penida. November to March brings short tropical showers and lower villa rates.
Flying from India
6 to 7 hours on the few non-stop services from India where they operate; otherwise 9 to 12 hours with one stop in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok.
Visa for Indian passports
Visa on arrival or e-VOA for Indian passports (IDR 500,000, 30 days, extendable once), plus Bali's tourist levy paid online before you fly.
Currency
Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Tipping is not expected but 5 to 10% for drivers and villa staff is appreciated.

Bali at a glance

Bali's luxury is in privacy and service rather than marble lobbies. A good villa has its own pool, a bale pavilion for afternoon naps and a butler who will float breakfast across the pool, set a candlelit dinner in the garden or book a massage on the terrace. We choose villas for setting first: river gorge in Ubud, cliff edge in Uluwatu, walkable streets in Seminyak.

Days out are planned so you see the famous places at the right hour. Lempuyang and Tirta Gangga in the east are best before 9 am. Nusa Penida's Kelingking Beach is a morning speedboat trip from Sanur. Tanah Lot and the Uluwatu Kecak are for sunset. A private driver and guide keep it unhurried.

Signature Experiences

Moments we build Bali journeys around

Temple procession in a Balinese village

Join a temple ceremony

With a local family and a guide, attend an odalan temple anniversary or a village procession, dressed in kebaya or sarong. Your guide explains the offerings and the music.

Pura Ulun Danu Beratan on Lake Beratan

Lakes and highland temples

Drive into the cool highlands to Pura Ulun Danu Beratan on Lake Beratan, then lunch overlooking the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih rice terraces.

Tanah Lot sea temple at sunset

Tanah Lot at sunset

The sea temple sits on a rock islet that becomes an island at high tide. Arrive at 5 pm, walk the cliff path, and watch the sun set behind the shrine.

Temple shrines near Lake Batur, Kintamani

Kintamani and Lake Batur

Lunch on the crater rim facing Mount Batur, visit the lakeside Pura Ulun Danu Batur, and soak in the natural hot springs at Toya Bungkah.

Balinese dancers in temple dress

Private dance performance

Your villa or a palace courtyard hosts a private Legong or Barong performance with a gamelan orchestra, followed by dinner.

Sunset on Seminyak beach

Seminyak sunset and beach clubs

Beanbags on the sand at Double Six or a cabana at a beach club, cocktails as the surfers come in, then dinner in Seminyak's restaurant strip.

Wellness & Rejuvenation

Traditions worth making time for in Bali

Four-hand massage

Two therapists working in rhythm, a signature of Bali's villa spas.

Flower bath

A warm bath strewn with frangipani and hibiscus after a scrub, served in your villa.

Melukat at a spring temple

A water purification ritual guided by a priest, done at Tirta Empul or a quieter village spring.

Sunrise yoga

Private sessions on your villa deck or at an open-air shala above the rice fields.

Planning Your Journey

Timing, routing and what our specialists tell every Bali traveller

When to visit

April to October

Dry season with clear mornings. July and August are peak, with higher villa rates and busy temples.

November to March

Wet season, mostly afternoon downpours. Good value except Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year.

Getting there and around

Arrival

Fly into Denpasar. We meet you inside the terminal and drive you to your first villa.

Nusa Penida

Fast boats and private speedboats leave from Sanur; the crossing takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on the sea.

Between bases

Private car with driver throughout. Ubud to Uluwatu is about 90 minutes; Uluwatu to Seminyak about 40.

Insider notes

Lempuyang queue

The famous 'Gates of Heaven' photo queue can be two hours by mid-morning. We leave Ubud at 5 am, and the mirror reflection in photos is a phone trick, not a lake.

Nusa Penida roads

Penida's roads are steep and rough. We keep the day to the west coast (Kelingking, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong) or go by private boat to snorkel with mantas instead.

Floating breakfast timing

Order it the night before for 8 am; the trays are heavy, so most villas only serve them in private pools rather than shared ones.

Rupiah has many zeros

IDR 100,000 is roughly ₹550. Check notes carefully; the 50,000 and 100,000 notes look similar in low light.

Bali: Common Questions

Ubud's river-valley villas for seclusion and wellness, then Uluwatu's cliffs for sunsets. Seminyak suits couples who want restaurants and nightlife within walking distance.
