Vancouver · Juneau · Glacier Bay · Seward · 10 nights
Ten nights on board and ashore, from Vancouver to Anchorage.
Ten nights by ship, with days ashore at Vancouver, the Inside Passage, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, College Fjord, Seward and Anchorage. Shore days are planned with private guides where shown, and you can always stay on board instead.
The days are built around Stanley Park and Granville Island, The Inside Passage, Ketchikan and Juneau. Each one is set out below with what you will see, how you get there and which meals are included.
The defining moment of this route: a full day of ranger-narrated cruising in Glacier Bay. Your travel specialist can add a night, swap a day or change the order before you book.
Day by day
Private transfer to your hotel and an evening walk along Coal Harbour.
Cycle or walk the Stanley Park seawall past the totem poles at Brockton Point, then take the little aquabus to Granville Island's market.
A morning at the Capilano suspension bridge, then board at Canada Place and sail out under the Lions Gate Bridge.
A day of scenic cruising between forested islands along the British Columbia coast, watching for humpbacks, orcas and bald eagles from deck.
Totem poles at Saxman village or Totem Bight, Creek Street's boardwalk on stilts, and an optional floatplane over the Misty Fjords.
The Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls, the Mount Roberts Tramway above town, and a whale-watching boat in Auke Bay.
The narrow-gauge White Pass and Yukon Route railway, built for the 1898 gold rush, climbs to the summit of the pass and back.
Park rangers board for a full day among tidewater glaciers, including Margerie and Grand Pacific, watching for calving ice, sea otters and mountain goats.
Scenic cruising past a fjord lined with tidewater glaciers named after American colleges, then a farewell dinner on board.
Disembark in the morning and join a day boat into Kenai Fjords National Park for glaciers, orcas, puffins and sea lions, then a night in Seward.
The Alaska Railroad's coastal line or a private car to Anchorage, about two and a half hours, for your onward flight.
Mid-May to September. June and July have the longest days; late summer is best for salmon runs and bears.
Indian passport holders need a Canadian visitor visa and a US B1/B2 visa, as the ship sails between both countries. Apply early for both.
Humpback whales are commonly seen in summer, along with orcas, sea otters and bald eagles. Sightings are likely but never guaranteed.
Three to four months ahead gives the widest choice of rooms and guided days, and more for school holidays, festivals and peak season. Shorter notice is often possible; ask and we will check live availability.
Yes. Every journey is a starting point: add or remove nights, swap a day's plan, change hotels or reorder the route, and your travel specialist re-plans the whole trip around it.
Your quote sets out the deposit that confirms the booking and the date the balance is due. Both depend on the hotels, airlines and guides involved, so they are agreed with you before you pay anything.
