Kruger · Victoria Falls · 8 nights
Eight nights from Kruger to Victoria Falls, paced around the days that matter.
Eight nights across two stops: Kruger for four nights and Victoria Falls for four. Every transfer between them is private and timed around the day's plan.
The days are built around Walking Safari in the Bush, Zambia Side and Livingstone Island, Southern Kruger Game Drives and Full-Day Drive and Night Safari. Each one is set out below with what you will see, how you get there and which meals are included.
The defining moment of this route: big Five tracking in a private Kruger reserve and a helicopter flight over the Falls. Your travel specialist can add a night, swap a day or change the order before you book.
Day by day
Arrive at Skukuza or Hoedspruit airports, then a road transfer to your camp and transfer privately to your base. Time today to arrive for an afternoon drive before the camp gates close.
A ranger-led morning walk to read tracks, dung and birdlife on foot, then an afternoon drive to a river viewpoint for sundowners.
Open-vehicle drives around the Sabie and Crocodile rivers, the densest game area in the park, for the Big Five and a bird list running past 500 species.
A long day north with a picnic at a hide, and a night drive after the gates close, when hyena, civet and genet come out.
Fly across from the safari circuit to Victoria Falls or Livingstone. On arrival, hear the falls before you see them and walk to a first viewpoint.
Cross the bridge to Zambia for the Knife-Edge viewpoints and, in low water, a boat to Livingstone Island, or a morning on the upper Zambezi by canoe.
The rainforest walk along the Zimbabwe-side viewpoints, wettest from March to May when spray soaks everything, and a sunset cruise upstream above the drop.
Helicopter flight over the gorges, white-water rafting from around August to December when the river drops, and Devil's Pool on the Zambian side in low water.
A last Zambezi morning before the transfer to the airport. Private transfer to Victoria Falls or Livingstone airports in good time for your onward flight.
Around March to May, after the rains, when spray can hide parts of the falls. September to December is low water but clearer views and better rafting.
No. Kruger and Victoria Falls are malaria areas. Speak to your doctor about prevention before travel.
Both sides offer different views. The plan includes the Zambian side and Livingstone Island when water levels allow.
Three to four months ahead gives the widest choice of rooms and guided days, and more for school holidays, festivals and peak season. Shorter notice is often possible; ask and we will check live availability.
Yes. Every journey is a starting point: add or remove nights, swap a day's plan, change hotels or reorder the route, and your travel specialist re-plans the whole trip around it.
Your quote sets out the deposit that confirms the booking and the date the balance is due. Both depend on the hotels, airlines and guides involved, so they are agreed with you before you pay anything.
